You get a feeling for the significance of this place by the extent of the precinct gardens and the massive moat surrounding it.
The original castle was built nearly 500 years ago, today’s version is a precise replica. We took the elevator to the top for the view, then stopped at each floor on the way down the stairs to view the history and see the various exhibits.
It is beautifully presented and easy to navigate. Certainly worth a visit.
