Stayed there 0n 7 January 2012 for 2 nights with 2 friends in a 3 bedded room.Room had a nice TV and good bathroom with plenty of hot water. The hotel was clean and well kept.Had a great pool with lots of sitting area on the 9th floor,so was nice and quiet from any traffic noise..Very adequate buffet hot breakfast.Access to the hotel is by lift from the street level, with entrances from 2 streets.,and the lifts are staffed in the day time and the street accesses have security guards on,who will find you a taxi if required.Within a 2 minute walk there is a MacDonalds and a KFC,if you require a fast food meal.Have stayed there before and feel its a good value for money hotel.

Think of this as a travel lodge with a swimming pool. The pool is on the 9th floor so you cant hear the traffic from there. The staff are so freindly and cant do enough for you. The breakfast is outstanding with a great selection.
The dinner menu is a bit limited , but the food is good and so is the price. The bar prices are good and they also have a happy hour. Transport links are excellent. The Taft LRT stati on is 20 yards away. And it is only a short walk to the Hobbit house bar.. worth a visit.
stayed there on 4 occasions and it is my prefered hotel in manila

Room Tip: ask for a room looking over the United nations/ Pool . its better then looking over the city.

I like this hotel, and I don´t agree on the bad reviews. Yes, it is very run down, so prepare for that. But the gym is big, the pool area nice, the staff friendly and helpful enough, the room quiet, and the buffet is ok with fresh fruit and scrambled eggs and also different disgsuting stuff. You have to stand the soggy sex tourists but otherwise it is fine.

Yes, it is central and close to the train line ( although that can be noisy too if you face it), but the negatives out weigh all the positives.

Check in is on the 9th floor. The two lifts, when working are operated by girls who are bored and slow down the whole system. Be prepared to be waiting 10 mins for the lift. On the weekend, often only one lift is working, it will drive you nuts!
The service elevator is still broken. So the staff slow the lifts down coming and going.

Checkin is a nightmare, lost forms etc, one couple who booked two rooms were treated like liars and fools, with their children placed 2 floors above them!

The hotel is run down, everything is in poor condition. The side bed light kept flicking as the cord's plug was broken as one of the single beds pushed onto it, very dangerous.

The carpet in the dining room is old, stained and frayed. Breakfast was aweful, the fruit was sour and old. The fish was dry.

The shower curtain had stains and mould on it, there was mould around the taps etc, definitely not for children to use.

The hallways and elevators aren't airconditioned, and the aircon in the room is old and loud.

Two days running, the cleaner forgot new towels for the room, and one day I had to go down to the 9th floor to get toilet paper, I said I was going out, expecting them to go in and replace it. On my return I found the new roll wedged onto the door handle!!! I have never seen this in my whole life of travelling!!

I was so happy checking out!

Room Tip: bring good walking shoes, as you will be using the stairs often to avoid the lifts!
