We sat outside and were immediately helped. The drinks were so good as was the Lobster rolls! We opted for a warm lava cake with coconut something ice cream to share and it was to die for. Great place!
I ordered the lettuce rolls with tofu... waited quite a while and they were delivered with chicken. I told the waiter it didn't matter, but he came right back in minutes with the right order. They are build-it-yourself messy to handle lettuce rolls with the peanut sauce on the side, of course, but certainly tasty. Order an extra napkin. The setting outside by the river on the old "Masonic Walkway" behind the buildings is quite nice and plenty of shade available if you visit on a hot summer day, like I did.
Our hotel manager said this place was great. We ordered the eggplant curry, served with jasmine rice, and summer vegetable rolls (their version of Vietnamese salad rolls). We ate outside as it was a beautiful warm evening in Ashland and we could hear the creek in the background.
The curry was very tasty. The rice had been sitting around for quite a while and some of the kernels were hard and would get stuck in our teeth.
The summer vegetable rolls were stale; some of the rice noodles had gone hard and the flavour was pretty much non-existent. We tried two bites of the rolls and then sent them back. The waitress was apologetic and explained that they were made fresh in the morning. It was 8:00 p.m. when we ate the rolls, so it is not much wonder why the rolls were so stale. The waitress was kind enough to take the rolls off the bill.
Service was good! Food is perhaps better at lunch time.
We sat outdoors, on the patio viewing the scenery and artisan tables. I enjoyed my Teriyaki Chicken very much. My wife ate a curry pork dish. We stopped by with friends on this trip and spent a lovely hour together.
