We did not even know their was a village up the hill, but after visiting the doctor's office we took a ride up and found this neat little place off the square. The price was very reasonable and the food was homemade-delicious. Just take note that they close at 2:30 during the weekdays and we are looking forward to enjoying the "All-You-Can-Eat" Friday fish-fry!

The only place I know of in upstate South Carolina that you can get all you can eat crab legs. And the great thing is, their actually good!! They are not the Chinese buffet crab legs, these are actual whole clusters like you would get at the beach. Very good place to eat!!!

The "meat and two" lunch that we enjoyed was more than enough food - all of it very tasty - at a more-than reasonable price. If you're really hungry, go for the "meat and three" with pie and tea for $10. Great place for lunch.

This will be a first for me....to write a totally negative review. Hate to do it, but I am honest and serious about the reviews I write.
Let me begin by saying this is not the first time we have eaten here. It used to be a good place to eat. We went in there last week because the husband wanted fried chicken. When we got to the serving line, I could not believe it. There was dried gravy all over the counter surrounding the gravy container. The green beans were dry looking...as if they had been there a long time and not stirred. The food looked dried up and picked over. Not appealing and clean at all.

They allow you to serve yourself instead of someone serving. Therefore, all day long there are people reaching across the food items on the front row to get an item on the back row. Not very sanitary to my way of thinking.
There are booths on either side of the room with tables through the middle. The booths have splits in the upholstery. Not one of the booths were "split free".
Sorry to be negative because at one point in time they had a nice place that was clean. Seemed as if they need to shut this place for awhile, clean it real well and repair the upholstery.

Good food in a traditional Southern style with a Pennsylvania Dutch twist. Quick and easy with a friendly environment.
