“Disappointing rooms”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 March 2012

I am giving this property 3 stars only as I am disappointed with this "Luxury" hotel. The brand "Four Seasons" has always been associated with luxury and indulgence. Not this property. The lobby was OK. Nothing grand or opulent. The rooms were ordinary. Again, nothing luxurious or lavish here. They looked more like a regular Marriott, Hilton, Westin…etc. rooms than a “”Luxury” brand room. The bed is comfortable. Rooms are clean and well equipped, other than a small flat screen TV. Bathrooms are small, but the towels are very fluffy and soft.

The hotel has a small pool and a smaller, but well equipped gym. The Spa facilities are nice, but expensive. An 80 minute massage will cost you $200+ not including tips.

The staff was excellent. Very nice, welcoming, helpful and professional. They all seemed to understand that they are truly in the hospitality business.

At $400+ per night, the rooms leave a lout to be desired!!!!

I was there for 3 weeks and Lisa Perry went above and beyond to get us everything we needed. The hotel is nice, and the spa is great but its the perfect location and the people at the Four Seasons that makes this hotel so fantastic. Lisa and Susanna helped me juggle all the reservations; George at the spa was wonderful to me. They even sent a little robe and slipper for my daughter - it was so cute I had to buy one.

As one may expect with a Four Seasons, the staff was attentive and friendly, providing good and reasonably swift service.

The hotel borders Lady Bird Lake from the south - it's a pleasant walk-out from the hotel as you quickly receive a serene and scenic view despite the fact that you're in a downtown area. The hotel restaurant (Trio) was nice with good service.

Our room faced north but we had the option of paying $20 to upgrade to a lake view. Parking was valet only and $30/night - nearby self-park lots were as low as $11/night.

My experience was the same as that of the many great reviews for this hotel. Would stay there again the next time I'm in town.

Room Tip: Lake view may be worth the upgrade ('city view' is just a view of the parking deck north).

I love this hotel. It will always be one of my very favorites. "Comfort" permiates every inch and experience of this hotel.

Room Tip: city view or lake view...you have a wonderful stay. Although city view rooms are best enjoyed at the...

My family just visited this property and it was simply fantastic!!

After a long week of work, it is wonderful just to sit with a glass of wine next to the lake. The service was impeccable and the spa treatments were perfect.

This is a great weekend get away.
