This is a wonderful resort/hotel, with beautifully updated rooms with every amenity. We visited with the hotel's catering director for our daughter's wedding next spring. After the tour, we were sold! They are very organized and detailed, with great facilities for a large wedding. We're glad to have booked Barton Creek as a destination wedding, as our guests will have 3 great golf courses, a superb spa, and great views from their guest rooms. The restaurants and bars on site are good, with a nice variety of entrees. The perfect place for a nice relaxing get-away, too!

Excellent feedback here on the resort's ability to provide a unique atmostphere for a special time in this family's life. Our newly upgraded Resort Pavilon is now enclosed and air-conditioned and provides in excess of 6,000sf of space overlooking the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Appreciate the favorable feedback very much.

For a short stay with children, this hotel has everything you need. I love that the special menu pricing for children. Even if they only eat a few bites, at least I did not get charged $20 for those few bites like other hotels. I appreciated the special menu options for children. It was nice knowing that we did not have to venture out of the hotel to find food children would eat.
The staff cannot be more friendly. There was not a single staff person who walked past us that did not acknowledge us with a greeting and a smile.
My kids loved the putt putt course and nature walk!
I missed an earlier hair appointment for my daughter in Austin and asked the salon if they could squeeze her in (on a busy Saturday!) and they did! The stylist treated my 7 year old like a queen and gave her the full spa treatment and a great haircut!

We really enjoyed this past guest's review on how enjoyable and relaxing they found the resort. We continue to work on providing a great experience for our younger guests, watch out for our "Very Important Kids" experience which will be launched this Memorial Day Weekend. I was pleased to see that our spa was able to treat our young guest like a queen. As always, our associates are clearly the most important reason that we enjoy such favorable feedback from the majority of our guests.

First the positive...the staff was friendly for the most part and was doing the best they could under the circumstances. Now the BAD...our room was newer and nice and clean but the balcony had a 10 foot solid cement wall around it (no view) and was next to a huge generator. We moved rooms but in the next room the window was broken. Maintenance came down and closed it for us and said we could open it if we wanted and then to call him to close it (he said the whole window needed to be replaced). We had booked the spa package but when we tried to make appts they were booked up for 3 solid days (ended up with no spa appts and refund of that portion of our res). No offer to bring in additional therapists and no effort to accommodate us - just a rude staff person basically telling us "tough luck". By the pool our umbrella was broken and the staff ended up duct taping it to get it to stay open (duct tape! - talk about high end - ha!) Also, the hotel had booked a "pool party" with a DJ blasting teeny bopper music and about 30 15-16 year olds on the Sat afternoon we were trying to relax by the pool. Not sure who thought that was a good idea. The food was mediocre and overpriced - the silverware was old and tarnished and the napkins were ratty. I will say that the 2 boutiques in the hotel had really cute clothes and jewelry - but that was the highlight! I will never stay at Barton Creek or recommend it to anyone. And the worst part is that this hotel is not "cheap" to stay at. Granted, its no Four Seasons pricewise, but I expect more for $250+/night.

The resort does thank this past guest for the gracious feedback on our associates and the selection of new ladies boutiques located off the main lobby. We are also glad that we recognize whom we need to reach out to, in order to regain their level of confidence in us. We have also adjusted our April private pool function schedule for all time periods when we know that other guests may wish to leisurely, enjoy the pool. The maintenance items noted have also been taken care of in an appropriate manner. Looking forward to a wonderful summer in Texas.

We just got back from our stay at Barton Creek. We really had a great time. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. I really wanted to write this review to mention the wonderful staff. We spent 4 nights at the resort. Every step of the way, we encountered professional, friendly, and highly competent staff. Our kids had a great time playing mini golf, swimming in the pool, and enjoying the resort activities. We will definitely be back!

The resort has enjoyed many wonderful families during this year's Spring Break Holiday and are ready for a spectacular Easter Carnival during the upcoming Easter Holiday. The Summer is always a terrific time to plan a family getaway to the resort.

Went to this resort for a several day medical meeting. The resort is quite nice location on a hillside overlooking scenic valleys and hills and the adjacent Fazio golf course. The staff was pleasant and attentive and I am sure that this is one of the best resorts in the Austin Texas area.
We noted that many of the rooms in the tower overlook a not so scenic receiving dock area. The bathrooms have a fairly ordinary shower /bath and not a separate shower and several of our colleagues thought the shower water pressure was low. The rooms themselves are fairly ordinary and unremarkable for such a nice resort. The bathroom amenities were odd, some lotion and shower gel showed up later in our stay. Our room was not ready for us to check into until the last possible moment (4 PM) , this happened to another friend of mine at the meeting as well. The spa is odd and the locker room is oddly on several separate floors and one needs to walk up and down a rather long set of stairs to get to the pool area. The pool area and several areas around the golf course such as the hole #1 Crenshaw course tee box were littered with cups that needed picking up! I saw ketchup stains by the pool hot tub area (gross). Also, our morning coffee was not very hot.
On the positive side, there were several bookshelves around the resort with interesting reading materials! Our room bedding was well made and comfortable.
On the whole, the resort was very good and the staff was friendly and responsive. I am sure it is one of the best resorts in the area, but I think there is definitely room for improvement for this to be considered a top tier resort.

Room Tip: high floor, balcony room a +, golf course view.

The resort appreciates this past guest's feedback on their overall impressions further to attending a recent meeting with us. We always focus on allowing guests to access their accommadations as soon as they arrive. Many wish to enjoy a terrific round of golf, a spa service or a leisurly meal by the pool. Many thanks on the nice feedback regarding our associates along with the restful nights sleep enjoyed. We continue to focuson all aspects of keeping this beautiful place very tidy at all times.
