The best time to visit is in the evening. The shimmering lights add to the somber atmosphere of this memorial. Parking is easy at night and lighter attendance make for a good experience. Nearby you will see the Air Force Memorial which is fine just viewed from a distance.

As with all government installations, you’re never sure if you can go here or not. You can. They make it clear for stuff that you can’t enter.
It took some time to figure out what the meaning of the different direction curves and water are for, but it’s pretty neat once we looked it up. Never thought I’d see this one.

Each person lost either in the plane or on the ground has their very own memorial in a very unique architectural area.

A sad moment in our history, but the idea that people who lost their lives or will be suffering from that horrific moment will never be forgotten, puts it all into perspective. A place that provides peace for those who want to understand how humanity can stand so low at times!!
