Stayed here for two weeks and I love it. This new hotel is very nice and warm. Staff was really good and always ready to help. Hotel is in great area and really close to metro. If I come again in Washington DC definitely will be in this hotel.

Made a long weekend visit to this hotel in association with the Marine Corps Marathon weekend. We've stayed at many Residence Inns before, in various countries, and this hotel had all the basics. The staff was friendly, the room and hotel in general was clean. Parking was available on site (for a fee) and the parking garage even supported electric vehicle recharge. The location was reasonable (albeit a bit far from our intended destination of the marathon site). But...

The hotel had an ambiance about it that countered all of the above. Simply put, it didn't take long to 'feel' that this hotel put 'cost effectiveness' ahead of other factors.

The rooms were well laid out as is the case in most of the Residence Inns where we've stayed, but the furnishings, while adequate, we just that, nothing spectacular and nothing to make this hotel stand out.

The view form this hotel was what you would expect of metropolitan hotels, great view of the building across the way.

But beyond the physical aspects of the hotel, the 'cost consciousness' of the hotel was evident. Example, on the first night, we wanted extra coffee in our room. The room provided the latest name brand pod coffee maker but only two pods of regular and two pods of decaf coffee. We were tired from our trip and wanted coffee both on arrival and later in the evening. We also wanted to start our morning off with a hot cup of coffee. The pods provided would not meet the needs of two adults who both wanted full strength coffee at the times indicated. So, as was our custom in all hotels we've visited, we approached the front desk about additional coffee for our room. The very friendly front desk clerk explained that ONLY two pods of each type were provided per room per day. If we wished additional pods, we'd have to EXCHANGE the unwanted pods for the desired types. I have to say, this was a first for any hotel we've stayed at worldwide. While I understand that hotels are business and are interested in the 'bottom line,' service business, such as hotels, need to evaluate closely policies that tend to restrict guest satisfaction in the name of cost control. Yes, the hotel provided coffee in the lobby, but that was not an acceptable substitution especially for late night or early morning needs.

Other examples. Toiletries provided in the room (shampoo, etc.). These were not replaced on a daily basis if a partially used bottle remained. Tissues in the room. On arrival the tissue box only had a hand full of tissue remaining (literally 5). These were replaced the next day...with a half full box.

Again, little things, but they added up to a less than fully satisfactory stay at this particular Residence Inn.

The breakfast served was typical of the Residence Inns we've stay at. The choices were plentiful, but the preparation was not consistent. Example, first mornings scrambled eggs were 'rubbery' indicating 'just off' cooking.

All told, this was not the best hotel or even Residence Inn experience we've had.

Thank you for your review Paul A. and I apologize that that you were not completely satisfied during your visit. I appreciate your concerns about us being concerned about "cost effectiveness" but please know that we have actually spent more to produce higher quality products for our guests then what is required. The Kurig and K Cups you mentioned are an upgrade over the standard coffee pot in most properties and we offer name brand K Cups. I apologize that the four that were stocked in your room was not a sufficient amount and we are happy to provide more upon request, we do not have a policy of two pods per day. Also, the bath amenities we provide are double the size of the standard, meaning a half used container of shampoo still has a full standard amount in it. You are correct that we replace these items when they are almost gone as replacement when half full is excessive. I apologize that your did not enjoy our in-room furniture package as it is the same package that all Residence Inn hotels offer.

I have reviewed your comments with our team to ensure that every guest has a memorable experience and hope we have another opportunity to host you and your family on any future visit to Arlington.

I really like this hotel, primarily because it has a conventional hotel feel, but Residence Inn kind of breakfast. It's conveniently located in the Arlington area where I travel for work frequently, and yet it's a quick Uber ride to spend some time walking through the monuments or visiting museums.

The suite was comfortable with a kitchen that had what we needed for light cooking. Everything worked well and the staff was prompt with any questions we had, such as the location of a wine store, and local restaurants. The pool is very small and probably not adequate if someone wanted to do laps. The cardio equipment looks new - enabling me to have a good work out. The work out room is also pretty small, so have a repertoire of exercises with dumbbells in your head. We were there to visit friends close by, so this location is close to many condos & apts. rather than tourist spots.

Work required me to stay here for 90 days. Excellent location near metro orange and silver line. Good food nearby. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Social time at night could be better i.e. Embassy Suits. Small kitchen w/frig, microwave, dishwasher, and electric stove top.
