My wife and I re-discovered this excellent inn after a multiple year gap and with the new owners this has become a true gem and is just off the interstate. We travel constantly up and down the I95 corridor for business (certainly not for pleasure) and this has become a true sanctuary from the forced road march. The Inn and rooms are immaculate, the inn keepers are outstanding, and breakfast most excellent.
The Inn has plenty of comfortable public spaces (inside and out)...our favorite is the tree shaded second deck over the front porch where we can watch the rail traffic pass just on the other side of the old train station. There is one of our favorite lunch/dinner restaurants (Iron Horse) not 100 feet away and make use of the pass the Inn can provide to the local YMCA...one of the best 'Y's we've seen (better than most health clubs).
The Henry Clay Inn will be one of our regular stops and are looking to use the Inn as an off-site location for our company....they have excellent spaces and understand clearly how to host these kind of events.
Looking forward to our next stay...
