The best place to visit in Hamamtsu. It's a wide area filled with unbelievably maintained landscaping. The flowers are robust and there is a giant water show for all. In the humongous green house you will find the beauty of flowers in the old Italian style. There is a section for Bali too where suddenly the place transforms to Bali with coconut and banana tree. Many pose here. The collection of cactus is the best in the world. I was amazed to find a 5thousand year old cactus here. If you plan to visit here. Make sure to carry your camera and extra battery. It's unlimited beauty.

Late November was our visit and its not the time for flower bloom. Nonetheless, there was a little greenhouse in the middle of the park which was nice. We took the train around the park and enjoyed to cool autumn air. I can only imagine how pretty this place would be during the sakura and summer flower bloom.

We were there in early December, so although there were still many flowers blooming outside, the greenhouse offered more attraction inside, I think. But then again there are ponds outside, one with giant koi fish and ducks that were smaller than the fish. The koi fish were a bit frightening, but also interesting.

The park was built following the original contour of the area, so reaching some parts might be a bit tiring for those who are not really used to walking.

From the park, we can exit through gates that direct us to the Lake Hamana and the zoo.
