Garça Torta used to be a fishermen's village and it remained like that for many decades. A few years ago, it started to attract a new kind of crowd, and they suddenly started to move there, for the calm beach, quality of life, tranquility and low life cost. There are some nice restaurants and bars, all very simple, rustic and hype - and expensive. They explore the charm of the area and we get a nice outing... and pay for it. A good cheap call is to take your friends, cooler and beverages to the beach (collect the litter afterwards) and stay there from dawn to dusk and back to dawn again - specially when it's full moon, the moon rising on the ocean is priceless!
