We've stayed here several times before, but there are some changes, good and less good.
Our room was one of the renovated ones with new furniture and cabinetry, both are improvements. The sofa bed is very comfortable with no hint of that annoying bar. The queen bed is comfortable with plenty of pillows. Kitchenette decor is now darker and looks and functions well; well stocked with pots/pans and utensils.
A couple of provisos: The newly renovated rooms do not have hair dryers (probably from either abuse or non-use), so be prepared to bring your own.
Also, when making reservations, DO NOT USE third-party booking sites like Booking.com or Expedia. Errors in communication can and do happen (like with us this time), and resolving issues with third-party vendors can involve 30-minutes plus of really frustrating conversations with their reps.
You'll get better service and prices by doing things the old fashioned way; pick up the phone and speaking directly to the hotel and not the parent company.
We like this place' clean, quiet, with friendly and helpful staff and it's ten minutes to the Appleton airport. We'll be back.More
