I have stayed in Accor hotels around the world and this was one of the worst in terms of lack of service, size and cleanliness of rooms and capacity of staff to resolve challenges. The check in staff was surly and lacking in capacity to speak any language but Portuguese. While I realize this is Brazil, it is an international hotel with properties worldwide which should be in a position to provide service in English, French or Spanish, for example. Indeed, when I called down from the room, the front desk clerk hung up on me as he could not understand me! Luckily there was eventually a very service oriented night manager who made a valiant attempt to help.
The “superior “ category room I was originally assigned had a bathroom full of ants, and was very small. It was not Until the middle of the night that I was finally moved to a higher category of room which was very nice but much more expensive. The regular rooms seriously need attention and renovation.More
