Our family of four loved this hotel. Stayed a full week. Not your usual hotel with a main building several stories high and all the rooms. Instead it is spread out and hotel rooms are located inside individual houses (ground and first floor - twelve appartments per house). We stayed at the upper floor and really enjoyed the stay. Aircon works fine (a bit noisy maybe), two king size beds and overall very comfortable. Towels were short the first day but made available according to our family size by the second day going forward. Services were good. No complaints. Everyone was forthcoming. Concierge service readily available when we needed them. Food quality was good overall. Decent variety of Brazilian and International options. Nice omelette in the morning. Pool bar and as well as mini bar in the rooms are bit pricey (i.e.: R$ 9,00 for a mineral water or a bag of tea). Hotel grounds are very scenic. Gorgeous setting within tropical forest and lake. Requires some walking if you are located at a house further away. Enjoy the surroundings, birds and sound and sight of croaking toads as you get closer to the main building in the evenings. Nice detail: hotel provides you with umbrellas at the reception when it rains. Kids club and tennis courts are well equipped and located in the back of the hotel grounds. Gym has modern equipments and is open 24/7 (adjacent to the main building). Main pool is big and allows for swimming laps. Additional smaller pools are located everywhere adjacent to the houses. All hotel guests can use them freely. WiFi working fine everywhere. Just outside the Resort Hotel is a small water park (Acquamania). The hotel is usually the last for pickup services before stopping at the Brazilian side of the falls and first for drop off (nice feature if you booked a tour). Very much recommend this hotel. Good value for money.

They have a security gate and only registered guests are allowed in, so from the first moment you arrive you feel safe. The drive up to the reception area is gorgeous, specially at night, and sets the tone for what is to come. We checked in while we sipped a complimentary glass of champagne. Now that is classy. We were given a corner room that was very quiet and big enough for the three of us. it was a bit of a walk to the lobby, but we love to walk, so that was fine with us and gave us the opportunity to enjoy nature. The service at this hotel was outstanding. They made recommendations for dinner and arrange for a car to pick us up and take us to the restaurant. The pool is just glorious. The jacuzzi was barely warm, but come to find out that in Brazil the jacuzzis are not used as hot as here in the states. We met some very nice families that were vacationing and we exchanged tour ideas with them. A lovely stay at this hotel and I have recommended it to several friends and family.

It's a nearly-good hotel, it could be fantastic, the ingredients are there but there are a few little things that leave you disappointed.

Let's start with the good bits. It's a beautiful setting, made up of individual houses, set in large, spacious grounds, with shared pools. Rooms are large and clean. Beds comfortable. There's a good gym, free wi-fi. The evening buffet in the main restaurant is great value for money at 75R with lots of choice. Alcoholic drinks are inexpensive too. It's in a great location, close (by car) to all the tourist sites.

On the flip side, the service is pretty poor - no words of welcome at the check in desk, just a demand for passport & credit card - and, it turns out, an overcharge of 800R on my bill. The waiter and chef in the steak restaurant were supremely unhelpful, bordering on rude (heaven forbid you should expect them to serve what's quoted on the menu!) Nobody in reception seemed particularly willing or equipped to offer advice on visiting the local sites. Ironically the best service I received was on check-out, Andressa couldn't have been more charming (and refunded the over-charge!)

The breakfast buffet is quite good, a chef is supposed to offer cooked eggs/omelettes, just don't be in a hurry, an hour after breakfast kicked off on each day they still weren't ready to serve anyone!

The rooms simply lack a few of the niceties you'd expect from a venue that looks so classy on the outside - you pay extra for bottled water, there's no shower gel or robes, the shower leaks and the bathroom smells of drains etc.

Overall it's pretty good value for money but, frustratingly, could be so much more.

This looks like a luxury resort on the surface, but I think they don't have enough staff to provide the service to go with it. When we arrived we were told that we would need a porter to show us our rooms as they were quite spread out. We sat in reception and waited while our guide tried to track down the porter. There was only one person on reception, so there were queues to ask any questions and we heard that there was only one porter. Eventually the porter turned up and we were driven down to our rooms. We had booked two twins and both were made up as doubles. After our guide had a look and established that they could be separated the porter called housekeeping to come and sort them out, while we left our cases and went back to the buffet restaurant to get some dinner. The buffet was well laid out and the food was good. It went cold very quickly as they only had cold plates to put it on. For 4 ladies with small appetites it probably wasn't very good value for money, but for those with a bigger appetite it would have been fine. (We went to their Italian restaurant next day, which was very good, but is small and you need to book, and had sandwiches in the bar on the last night.) After dinner we returned to reception to check whether our rooms were ready. After some confusion about what we were asking the lady on reception established for us that one had been done and the other was still in progress, so we decided to have a drink in the bar beside reception. There was just one person serving, but he seemed to be doing a good job and we didn't wait long for our drinks. When we returned to our rooms they had been turned into twins. They were compact, but the beds were very comfortable, the air conditioning worked and they were in a quiet location. There were a couple of things that struck us as odd. The towels looked old and thin. When I used a bath towel after a shower later on I actually found a hole in it. The next day when the towels were replaced we received a much better set, but on the third day we were back to the old ones with hanging threads on them. There was a kettle in the room and a mini bar. I still wonder if I got this right, but it appeared to me that the price list said it was 9 reals for a tea bag. If so this is a first as I have never been charged for making tea or coffee in a room before. One afternoon after a trip to the falls we decided to have a cocktail at the pool bar. There was just one person serving. We ordered our drinks and sat down. He seemed to be delivering a number of other drinks which presumably had already been ordered and some orders for food. At one point he motioned as if to say that he hadn't forgotten us. I didn't actually time it on my watch, but I think it may have been close to half an hour before our drinks actually arrived.
This isn't an awful hotel. It looks lovely with lots of marble. It has very nice public areas, the main bar by reception was good, the Italian restaurant was lovely and we slept well, but they really need some new towels and more staff to make it what it should be.

Spend 2 nights here while visiting the falls which are 10 minutes down the road by car or on a tour...

The resort is quite widespread and if you want to be near to the big pool and the restaurants make sure to request a room in house 1-5

Breakfast was good - great coffee!

We tried the a la carte steak restaurant and it was good - not as good as Argentina but ok...

Pool area is great although drinks are a bit expensive

We would go here again if visiting the area
