Good location,15 min from the beach. Close to super market( 5 min walk). Clean. We stayed there for 3 nights and it was great. Make sure you bring cash... They ONLY except cash :)
Try to get in higher floor if you want quite.

We were prepared to give this place a very unflattering review until we requested a room change from 410 (with it´s tiny beds, deflating toilet seat and noisy fans) to 415 which had a make-over and nicer furnishings for the same price per night; R/250 or $85(although unlike 410 the shower in 415 was not hot)
In either case, be prepared for soft beds, single ply toilet paper, scratched up aluminum/teflon pots, no sponge, dish soap, kitchen knife or cutting board provided, no phone service except to front desk, spotty wi-fi and a cold reception staff that gives little to no tourist information (they made it clear that they are not a ``hotel`` which was improperly mentioned in the South America Lonely Planet guide) There are four floors and the upper floors are the quietest although it can be noisy in the evenings when people gather in the inner central courtyard and their voices echo throughout the building. (you may be able to drown out the noise with the fans) If you are prepared to figure out how to get around Rio on your own (hardly anyone speaks English or Spanish here) then this place may work for you. Otherwise you would be better assisted in a hostel or a hotel. Two and a half days before our departure we were locked out of our room and at the front desk they insisted that we pay early for our room even though our reservation stated that we didn´t have to pay until check-out. We ended up paying half of the balance in order to get our key re-programmed to get back into our room. The management never apologized for this error and this place receives a POOR rating in communication skills-especially to it´s non-Portuguese speaking guests. Important to know that payment is in CASH only(realis or U.S. dollars at a reduced exchange rate) which was an inconvenience as we couldn´t get cash out of the ATM´s during our final days here. Paying by credit card, as we have done everywhere else would have been much preferred and much less stressful, especially as we needed a large sum of cash.
Some positives of this place are that the apartments and building are kept clean and the apartment size is somewhat spacious although there are bunk beds in the dining area. In the park across the street there is an organic fruit and veggies market on Saturday and a general outdoor market on Wednesday.

Room Tip: Ask for upper two floors, rooms facing away from the street and 415 with it´s newer furnishings

Excellent apartments bookable by the night. Spacious and clean with small kitchen. Very good value for Rio, in an excellent location in Copacabana near the metro and a short walk to the beach. Friendly reception staff. Free WiFi. Aircon.

Central location, spacious room and very high cleaning standards. Booked this place for our last two nights in Rio before travelling back home. Were positively surprised. One minor thing that was special is the lady that checked us in. She did not make you feel welcome at this place and was not helpful contrary to the rest of the staff we met during our stay. Overall would stay there again if could avoid encounter with that lady. Otherwise, very nice place.

This is the best place to stay in Rio De Janeiro if you want a convenient affordable place. To make the story short, when I got to Jucati Hotel I was not expected the service would be that great!! OMG I like that place -- staff at the front desk in the morning and afternoon speak English well. There is a gentleman which he speaks English very good and one young lady speaks English very good. This was my amazing trip in Rio De Janeiro! Everything is walking distance. I walk from the hotel to Copacabana beach 10 minutes walking distance! You do not need taxi because Rio is very expensive city-- I took Bus 411 and others to get me every place. Staff at Jucati Hotel tells you everything if you are in need to go places. One thing, please take the bus which is $3.60 Real instead of paying $20 for taxi!!! If you want to enjoy your stay, please make sure you have enough cash at least $700 US if you will stay more than 6 days. I will come back again to Jucati Hotel because I had a very good experience with the staff. Also, the location is safe and I walked 3:00 AM with no fear!! Try to learn as much Portuguese because it is very hard to find someone who speaks English in rio de janeiro - but I speak Spanish which was helping me to communicate. Brazil is the world most lovely country to travel!!!!
