“Loved it!”
Reviewed 14 October 2013 via mobile

Sooo beautiful and unique. It definally worth a visit. It's a little hidden and it's not the safest place in the city, so keep your eyes open, always. But still it's a "must go". Loved been there and I'll be back soon.

Nice, close to Lapa and Santa Teresa! Good to visit on a walk! This is located nearest the old center of the city, you can go there by subway, or even bus. Taxi is a good option if you don't want to go on foot some minuts.

“Interesting form of art with just tiles:)”
Reviewed 21 September 2013 via mobile

The 'famous lapa steps' is hard to locate but great attraction to search for!Its a uniqie form of art with simple tiles from all around the world..fun to spot familiar places! The area is not great and should not be visited at night.Think Rio tourism can do more to promote places like these..worth a visit!

“Modern art for peace..”
Reviewed 17 September 2013

Stairs of art close to Lapa District, designed by Selaron..very touristy, but worth the visit. Hard to find, so make sure you ask your accommodation provider or go with a tour. Every city needs more of these areas to make people smile again. Tourists can be pushy in this area to get the perfect photo. Most tourists stay at street level, but make sure you walk the stairs. There was an usual amount of native Alaskan tile art? There are tiles representing everywhere around the world. Respect the locals, keep noise down, don't litter or urinate (as the sign says). Enjoy ! We visited on a Monday, which was quiet. It's FREE. No wheelchair facilities to get up the stairs..

Very cool. Make sure to bring your camera. Great for couples and adults. Lapa has a lot to offer both day and night.
