First of all, DO NOT EXPECT a crepe bretonne. For me, the name creperie should be reserved for the French or really Breton crepe. Thin, made with sarassin flower. Unfortunately in English speaking regions and in Holland and Germany it has become common to refer to pancakes (thick wheat flour soggy) as crepes. In Santos the Creperia da praia has its own take on the concept of crepe. This is neither a crepe bretonne nor a pancake. But the result is not bad at all. I wouldn't quite know how to describe it, but I do recommend giving it a try. For a light and cheap meal in a simpel but sympathetic environment this is a great place, well located near the boulevard in the centre. And when I say light, I don't mean small - the pancakes are quite considerable.
