I stayed at the Transamerica for the 2015 edition of the ABRAFATI (Brazilian Paint Show). I chose this hotel because of its location, within walking distance of the Expo center I knew that it was pricey, yet the convenience of walking should pay off.
Upon arrival I took a shower, and, to my surprise, the shower drain was clogged. I asked for maintenance to work on it, and was told that the problem had been solved.
The following morning, I again took a shower, and the drain was still clogged; water flowed over the threshold and flooded the bathroom. Because of this standing water, I slipped and scraped my arm on the door. FIVE STARS?
I stayed there three nights...and on all nights the speed of WiFi was terribly low. I complained and the first reply was that my device was not working properly. Well, it had been working properly until I got to the hotel...they admitted that there were too many guests logged on, and that the system did not support so many users. Isn't it a business hotel, in the largest city in South America, strategically located for trade shows? Were they expecting people not to use their devices? I had to wait until well past midnight to work. FIVE STARS?
