I can honestly say that this is one of the best hotels I have ever been. The service is great, the people are polite. They really know how to treat their clients. The hole hotel is great. The interior is great, rooms are bigger compared to other hotel I've been, it is also warm and cosy. Don't let me start on the breakfast. Me and my girlfriend overslept and there was almost nothing left but the girl from reception was so nice and she brought food just for us. It turned out that there was no cake left but she brought us some other.

We actually booked a different hotel but my wife who is bulgarian did not like the look of it and we were lucky to find the tsarevets hotel. Veiliko Turnovo was the ancient capital of Bulgaria and is known for it history and the Tsarevets fortress. The hotel was a five minute walk from the castle complex with extraordinary views across the fortress and mountains. The room was huge and very clean. there was parking and free wifi. The staff were really helpful and the new owner was very friendly and accomodating. It is a few levs from the town centre and we good a reduction in several restaurants for staying there. It was the perfect location to visit the sites.

Room Tip: where good walking shoes as VT is very hard on the feet

Located in the Old Town of Veliko-Tarnovo, near most museums and the Tsarevets Fortress, it's perfect for visiting landmarks without the use of vehicle, and only 10 minutes walk from the shopping center of the city.
The private parking is just in front of the hotel, its lighted during the night, and they let us use it for a couple of hours after our check out and that was great.
Staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Our room had two single beds with enough space to move around. Although in the ground floor, was quiet enough. I can't say the same for the thin walls.
Bathroom was big enough, and the only thing that was missing was a floor towel, while there's no containment of the shower water on the floor.
Overall experience was positive enough to recommend and have it as a first choice for our next visit!

Room Tip: If you like better view and more quiet rooms, ask for a room in the upper floors

We stayed for one night only, but were pleasantly impressed by this place. Location is great, a couple hundred meters from the fortress entry. Room was large and very clean, nicely decorated, comfy bed, decent wifi. Good breakfast. The private parking was a big plus.
We had a room on the ground floor and it got a bit noisy after 8 a.m (both from the breakfast area and the cars passing on the cobblestone street outside), so if you're a late sleeper you should ask for an upper floor room.
Very good value for money.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms facing the street can be noisy in the morning

The hotel is very clean and comfortable with easy access to the fortress. I would recommend this hotel highly to anyone visiting the fortress. There is a small plaza between the hotel and entrance to the fortress with a great restaurant that overlooks the fortress and has great food and even greater prices.
