A small local restaurant in InnDein ,between the marker and the bridge leading to the pagodas.Simple but good and more important clean. You can make your choice between local dishes ,soups or french fried potatos for a few dollars. The ideal (clean) place for a midday lunch in the shade .people are also very kind

We had lunch at this restaurant, which is located on one of the main streets of Indein village. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes, but our guide had let us know it specialised in pasta, and we both felt like something different, so we both had pasta.

We had a gnocchi with tomato sauce and a fettuccine with eggplant and tomato. Both were amazing - easily the best pasta (and probably best western food) we had in Myanmar. The pasta was freshly homemade (daily, we were told) and perfectly cooked al dente, and the sauces were flavoursome and delicious.

Highly recommend this if you are looking for lunch in Indein.

We went to Lucky Star Restaurant as recommended by our local friends. It is very close by to Shwe Inn Dain Pagoda on Inle lake. You will not find anything luxurious in the village but this restaurant gives you very good value and service for your money. It is run by two sisters who prepare everything with support of a few helpers. Here you can try the real Burmese coconut and some Burmese dishes (all very reliable) as well as Western ones. The best parts came at the end with beautifully cut, very sweet watermelons and the chocolate pancakes which are to die for. They have a variation also with chocolate and banana.Well worth a visit as it is also clean and quiet. Even our kids (4/7y) enjoyed it.
