“Warm up for Huang Shan”

Jiulong Waterfall Scenic
Reviewed 15 June 2017 via mobile

We stayed on night downhill before heading up to Huang Shan. There is nothing to do at the small town 湯口, so we took a 20 mins cab and visit the waterfall. Walked a few hundreds steps up and reached the top of the hill is a nice warm up for the following hiking at Huang Shan.

I had been a little frustrated with tourists so any place without the mass of hordes pushing and shoving each other trying to get a selfie was a welcome relief. The falls were pleasant. Of course I've seen much better but the place was clean, tranquil and not a terrible walk thus the excellent rating. You will enjoy it especially if you've been around too many tourists for an extended period.

We spent about 90 minutes here. A nice walk up the park along the waterfall trail. Very clean and well managed park.

Not much water during our visit during winter. Still a great place to take some pictures and spend time visiting the are near Huangshan.

It was quite nice and relaxing, easy walk. The scenery of water falls were divided into several parts of the the dragon. First impression you only see one waterfall which was average but if you follow the path and sign it will lead you to another first and second falls and so on. I expect to see one stunning waterfall but reality I have to walk to different walk to see it, the last one you can see it in the distance only. Be wary the East gate which was different than the main entrance was quite tough but the scenery was nice. You can see Camellia trees, tea plantation. A lot of steps down like in Mt. Huangshan. Not recommended if you just want easy nice walk.

We were surprised by a Low amount of tourists. Visited few nice waterfalls, which are really high. This visit is a good idea for a relaxing afternoon! For entry we paid 112 rmb (1normal + 1student ticket bought via our hotel).
