The location is excellent right across from the main ruins, behind the best restaurant

But the staff are non-existent. You have to ring a bell for them to come to you..... just ruins the atmosphere.

Rooms are weird. Bedroom lovely. But a weird sitting area with just a table and hard chairs.

Bathroom had a huge jacuzzi which was great fun.... took nearly an hour to fill!!! Only lukewarm which is good for Thailand..... but electrics all exposed.... not safe

We stayed with our two little kids in the family room. First of all the lady at the reception (who didn't speak any english) could not find our booking, it was all very caotic. Finaly see found it and brought us to our room. It's an old building, which can be nice, but the inside was all very dark, hardly any windows and full of old stuff. The room was dark, but funny with a bunk bed, which the kids liked very much. An old bathroom, but hey it's only 1000 bath. The bathroom looked clean, and the bed as well. But then I dropped something on the floor... this was soooo dirty. Bunches of black long hairs on the floor and other undefinable stuff. Disgusting. Unfortunately we arrived late and did not have the strenght to move imediately, so we did the next morning to the lovely P.U. resort.
I do have to say, the location of the Sixty is very good.

We only stayed here because the Tamarind was not available. We only spent one night. The owners do not speak English. The room was dark but adequate. I can't recommend this place. If you are on a budget, you can find better options.

PROS
- Friendly staff except for this particular woman (see 'CONS')
- Room was all right; nice bed
- Bathroom is spacious and clean
- Good Wi-Fi
- Sufficient toiletries and refreshments (bath towels, soap & shampoo, mineral water etc) provided
- Good location; walking distance to many restaurants and bike rental shops

CONS
- The layout of the room is very odd: Once we opened the door, it was the bathroom followed by the bedroom.
- The bed wasn't that comfortable
- Some mosquitoes in the room
- There was this grumpy woman on our 2nd day there and she wasn't the most friendly. Most of her replies to our questions were 'uhhmm' and 'yeah'. She appeared to be cold and distant. She wasn't as helpful as the other female staff and the other teenagers who managed the Guesthouse.

OVERALL
It's not too bad for a short stay because it's quite cheap for the quality you get. Just pray that the staff who attends to you will not be the grumpy woman. The rest of the Guesthouse staff are absolutely helpful and sweet. :)

I'd recommend a Tuk Tuk from the ferry/train station as it's a good 10/15 min walk.

We initially booked two nights to see Ayutthaya and then extended for a third to travel to Lobpuri and back.

The family that run the hotel are lovely and are super helpful (one kind lady even tried to help carry my backpack after realising it was beyond heavy)!

Temples are reachable by bike/moped. Our room was lovely (superior room) - huge bathroom good wifi & the little balcony at the back is gorgeous! Would stay here again :)
