We were coming the end of a four week tour where we have stayed in many hotels and had many meals. The room was a good size, reasonably well kitted out but the smell of damp and the neighbouring door opening and closing echoed, it was Ok for 1 night. What set this hotel apart was the restaurant, it’s actually in the reception area as you walk in, not where you would expect fine dining. However from the moment we were sat down the service was impeccable, and the food was right up there with some of the best I’ve eaten in South America, every bit as good as what you would get in a fine dining establishment anywhere in Europe and beyond, it was superb. I might not go back there for the room, But I would happily go back to the restaurant for the quality of the food any time. The restaurant worth 5 stars and the rest!
