We visited Perast on the first day of our week in Montenegro and loved the village. We then decided to stay for lunch and using our Bradt guide, opted for Otok Bronza since it had waterside tables. A bad move on our part, not to have checked T/A reviews first, as we subsequently saw it was the worst rated restaurant in the village - and that matched our experience.
We ordered a seafood risotto and Roundy had mussels, plus a plate of chips. The mussels were totally cold and very small - no pleasure to eat at all. The seafood risotto was only luke warm with minimal real seafood content - just bits of nondescript seafood, despite a decent overall fishy flavour. If I order a seafood risotto I expect to find decent sized prawns, squid, mussels etc in it, rather than some shrivelled items looking as if they have come out of a mixed bag of frozen seafood that has been cooked for too long - then forgotten about and gone cold! Sadly the highlight was the fries - the only properly hot dish we received.
A very disappointing first lunch in Montenegro which was not fitting with the lovely location. You can do better!
