Hotel Ambasador is not easy to find (we had to hire a taxi to show us the way), but uses its location very well. The restaurant descends in (outdoor) terraces to the river and provides a very pleasant place to eat. The rooms are modern. Not everything works but overall the hotel is recommendable.

Only went there for supper and chose the place because of the gorgeous location and the view of the river.
The staff hardly speaks any English, so you probably won't find any tourists here (but then it's a hotel...)
They didn't seem to have a wine list, but fortunately they did have wines :)
I had small trouts from the river which were served with steamed pak choi (other than the always present chard) and it was pretty ok, nothing too special, but bread was nice.
I spent a few nights here in October. The rooms are older but clean. It is more of a budget tourist hotel. The hotel overlooks a nice valley and river. It is convenient to downtown but only by taxi which are inexpensive. There is a restaurant and breakfast is included.
The hotel is a few hundreds meters from the city centre. The city itself doesn't have much to offer to tourists in term of history and attractions, but this hotel is great.
Right on the river, nice location and architecture. The restaurant has several terraces, on different elevation following the terrain which slopes down to the river. It is very modern and trendy. The food is good, only had breakfast, and the service is impeccable.
The room was big, it had a sitting area, clean, comfortable and stylish. Great view over the river. It is not a cheap hotel but still a good price for us. Montenegro is relatively cheaper that the surrounding countries.
The lobby is small but cozy, the hotel is very romantic, many couples come for dinner. It is very quiet. there is some music in the night time but is discrete.

Good position (not in the close center of Podgorica), with excellent view at the local river.
Standard rooms need renovation! The suite is decent.
