We had seen reviews of this place and were determined to find it to have lunch. As everyone says - look up at the HSBC branch building - its on the top floor.
We walked up to the top wondering what we would experience - it looks like they have not been there very long and are still in the process of setting up. In fact they were painting a wall while we had lunch!
The kitchen is tiny and we weren't sure what would be produced there - the service was friendly, but like most of Sri Lanka, exceptionally slow. It took nearly 20mins to get drinks!
We ordered burgers and a wrap and even though we could see the food being cooked, it took almost 45mins to actually see it on the table.
But when it came it was delicious! The burger was moist and tasty the chips were excellent and the wrap was fresh.
The views from the top give you a taste of the city and the best part if the excellent view of the Giant Buddha from the exit to the toilets!

Although you can see signs on the roof top actually finding entrance was a little tricky and not the most welcoming. Food was good but it felt like the place needed a good clean!!

If you want a break from the local food - which itself is great - and want a burger, wedges, milkshake etc. this place is worth a visit. The burgers are tasty for Sri Lanka.

Please Note - as far as I know they do not have an alcohol license so have to send a runner to get you a beer if you want one.

As mentioned by others, it can be tricky to find. The entrance is right next to the main HSBC Branch in the city so you can use that as a pin. In my picture you can see the entrance where the bank branch ends. Follow that stairs all the way to the top.

Myself and my husband absolutely loved this place! It was definitely our favourite place in Kandy. We were lucky enough to stumble across it when the perahera festival was on and were greeted warmly by the owner and told we were welcome to stay the whole evening and watch the festival which was very kind. It’s a rooftop bar so the views were great.

We enjoyed some iced tea and fantastic food. As the name suggests it’s grilled burgers, tandoori chicken wraps etc and the wedges were delicious! Not only that but there is some amazing artwork also- on the tables, on the walls and it’s just a cool space. The artwork is done by the owner who is clearly a very creative guy and has done a fantastic job of this place. Very chilled vibe, nice people, good music and fantastic food. Would highly recommend if I’m Kandy!

- Shady entrance through almost impossible to find staircase leaves you with the impression they could actually be UN-licensed to grill

+ Nice rooftop with view towards buddha temples, try to get a front row seat

+ Burgers are okay, albeit not great. Probably best ones you get around here, but even so, they should be served hot and not cold (same goes for the fries)

- Staff is oblivious to guests, need to fight for their attention.

- NO beer. At. A. Burger. Place. C‘mon!!
