The hostel overall was good. It has AC, a good location (next to Heike hostel) a nice terrace, solid beds, and a kitchen. There is no breakfast provided, the AC is only on in the rooms at night, the kitchen gets very hot and is quite small. There was not much in the hostal that got travelers to socialize with each other. The staff was very nice and welcoming.

Room Tip: Bunks are very tall. Aim for a low bed

Good: it's cheap! 12$ for a bed in an 8 bed dorm & pancakes for breakfast included. Wi-Fi works well. Very friendly and helpful staff!

Bad: you don't get a key to lock the room, but there are lockers in the room. Mini kitchen. Not so good area to hang out at the hostel and connecting with new people.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hostel while we were in Bocas. It's $12 a night if you stay more than one night and that includes pancaked and coffee for breakfast which is super nice. There is also ac in the dorms. Wifi works really well out on the balcony where it's nice to sit and hang out and downstairs in the lounge, unfortunately not so well in the dorm we were staying but really not a problem. Very friendly and helpful staff, we had a great stay. Definitely recommend it

This is a very nice Hostel BUT we found it very noisy at night and the air conditioning to our room was switched off remotely by reception in the early hours of the morning (ie 2.00hrs) of our second night.

Finally the all inclusive breakfast is poor with no choice consisting of two thick stodgy pancakes served without a smile. Oh and a cup of bitter coffee.

Our room was on the first floor with a balcony at the front overlooking the Main Street. Perfect for a beer in the evening and watching the activity below.

However the first night after we returned from our evening meal we found several youngsters sitting on the balcony outside our room which in itself was no problem whatsoever.
However they became more raucous and noisy as time went by and did not quieten down till well after midnight. We decided to give the Hostel the benefit of the doubt but the same happened the following night.

The airconditioning to our room was completely controlled by the Hostel receptionist who has to switch it on and off and alter the temperature as they do not let guests have the remote control unit. They also have the power to switch the whole unit off from reception which they did during the early hours of our second nights stay. That was the final straw and we decided to leave and find other better accommodation.

The Hostel fully control the airconditioning but do not have a simple rule as other hostel do in having a quiet time between say 23.00hrs and 7.30hrs.

The hostel has no smoking signs on the balcony which are ignored by the guests some who from the smell of the smoke are using substances other than tobacco.

What a shame as we would have stayed longer.

Room Tip: Only stay if you don't want to sleep
