The hotel is very well situated and a short drive to all the best attractions in Delhi. The hotels staff are the best that I have seen in India by far. The hotels manager Mr. Puneet is wonderful and always ready to help out in anyway that he can. Mr. Ashok in reception is wonderful and really helpful. He made sure that we stayed in a room that was to our liking with a minimal surcharge. The food in the hotel is fantastic, their breakfast buffet has lots of different options and all are really tasty. The superior rooms are fantastic and very large. The food in Curzon room is fantastic as well. their Thali option is very tasty. The hotel pool is also really nice and relaxing. In my opinion this hotel is the best place to stay when in Delhi. I and my better half will definitely only stay here when in Delhi.

Room Tip: Superior rooms on the 4th floor

If you come to Delhi I definitely recommend a stay here for a few nights. The property is very nice. An older property that has all the class and history but has been well kept and is just a pleasure to stay and walk around.

I had the breakfast buffet and it was exceptional the rooms were big and perfect.

The property has a sufficient gym and a great pool - though I never got to swim in it it looks amazing and was very private.

I will stay here on every visit back to Delhi

We boarded our Virgin Atlantic Dreamliner and 7 hours 40 minutes later we arrived in Delhi (to 35 degrees at 10 am) After getting some currency and our bags, we were met by our guide, Hemant in arrivals with some of our group. We got on our bus, our ‘home on wheels’ for the next week and after a lovely introduction and welcome gift. We made our way through a busy Delhi to Maidens Hotel, our first stop.

This hotel was a beautiful colonial style property, originally owned by the Maiden Brothers two English gentlemen from 1894, it was widely known as the best hotel in Delhi.  Later bought by the Oberoi Group. After a warm welcome by the staff, we checked in and then ditched our bags and ran to the pool for some down time (which was few and far between we would later find out) That night we all came together for drinks and a group dinner, first impressions were it was a good mix of people and we were looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Next morning we had what I would now consider to be a lie in, a wake up call at 6 am. After breakfast we packed up and headed into Delhi. With a morning walk around the city, en route to the Jama Masjid Mosque, in Old Delhi. The Mosque was built by the 5 th Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, who also built the Taj Mahal.

Was a pleasant and friendly property ideally located in Delhi. Would recommend to others to to its colonial feel.
