I travel to India 4 times a year and choose to stay at this hotel every time. My stays are normally 10-15 days long so, the staff knows me well there (hence I receive good service/ treatment). The rooms vary is style, comfort and price. Sticking to the lowest price too, the rooms vary. Some rooms are too small (floors 4 and lower) with thin walls and frankly uncomfortable. The corner rooms on these same floors are, however, larger and well-worth the money. The hotel earns respect because of the speedy 24/7 housekeeping; the extremely helpful and accommodating staff; the efficient taxi service; and the delicious Chinese restaurant it houses.

Room Tip: Choose the corner rooms at the highest possible floor level.

We stayed for one night 15th October - as part of our 3 week tour of India - lovely hotel - good selection of food - good service and friendly staff. Worth a longer stay hotel well located for all sights.

Room Tip: Our room was already selected by tour company which was fine for the one night stay. you will have no problem with changing your reoom if you don't like it - reception staff very helpful

I couldn't find the name of the Indian restaurant at this Hotel listed separately so will write the review in this section.

After a hectic day of Diwali celebrations we needed a bite to eat and being Diwali most of the local Indian restaurants were closed. This left us little choice for Indian food, and we finally settled on the Vasant Continental as a likely candidate, we chose between Punjabi by Nature and this and I was a little skeptical about how this would be. Although they did not have any special Diwali menu and the restaurant was very very quiet, the menu was good and the staff excellent. The food was really fantastic, a mixed veg tandoori kebab platter to start, choley, chicken, dal fry, aloo gobi, veg biryani and raita. each dish was cooked to perfection and taste and texture was really quite fantastic. The danger of hotel restaurants is that everything tastes the same but this was like real home cooking!. We had a fantastic meal and the waiting staff were attentive and friendly. It is not cheap, but good value for money, and will definitely visit again. 7700 INR for 5 people incl beer.

I have been using this hotel for the last 4 years and is the best for sure if you are planning to attend to meetings to any of the embassys in Delhi. The service is good, rooms are "ok" nothing extraordinary, restaurants are good and quality of food super! just in the coffe shop they need to improve as u can spend a lot of time waiting to get your service.

Room Tip: higher floors rooms are a little bit quieter
