The gate is really huge and a fine piece of architecture. The place is a hotspot for street food and entertainment.

Never seen so many families in a park to this magnitude.

Worth the experience.

Kids loved the car and bike rides

It's historical landmark of delhi and is also grt place to be for all ages. The small lakes r never clean ,boating not any more. Vendors r scattered not organised to stand in any order.they always overcharge u,to ur question on the same the answer comes that it's the mcd and police charges from them. Must try lovely chuski and do hear the jingle( enquire on net for orignal many fakes also selling, non Indians should stay away because of hygiene Factor and masala).bioscopes and camel rides avlbl at times for young ones.

India Gate has been a favourite since my college days. We used to visit with friends and had a lot of fun. When Kids were growing up, we used to visit at nights with cooked food and used to eat tehee at the lawns amongst the milling crowds. Back then , it wasnt such a mad rush but now the crowds are unmanageable . Earlier it was very clean and was very well maintained but now it is not such a clean place. But India gate has always been a favorite.

We only got to see this from the car, but it is clearly an homage to France's Champs Elysees. Very pretty and the view is free.
