We stayed on a Saturday night in April. I made reservations from Tripadvisor so that I would get the best rate. Our Single Queen size room was handicap ready, but it came with all of the regular amenities. There was one thing that we noticed that was very different than a regular room though was when the Fire alarm went off about 11:30pm our room not only had the alarm, but a strobe light as well. After the fire department came and reset the alarms, (it was just a short in the elevator) we did not have any trouble going back to sleep. The next morning we had breakfast in the lobby.

Dear George,

Thank you for choosing the Clarion Inn Huntsville! It was our pleasure to host you! I'm sorry that your night was interrupted by the fire alarm, but also deeply grateful that it wasn't the result of an actual fire! The safety of our guests is of primary importance and it's reassuring to know that you felt comfortable enough to return to sleep. I hope that you will visit us again on your return to Huntsville, AL.

We had difficulty finding a hotel traveling home from wintering down south. It was also spring break weekend & every hotel in Athens & Huntsville were full. Clarion Inn had their last two rooms available, so we grabbed one. We had never heard of the chain before & were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was for the price. The room was clean, had a couch, coffee table, nice entertainment center, tv & free wifi, closet, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and hair dryer. The bed was comfortable with fluffy pillows & nice linens. The towels were large & fluffy soft. There was plenty of hot water & great water pressed in the shower. We heard no noise at night & slept well. Lots of hot water in the morning, too. Breakfast was set up well, They had juices, cereal, hot oatmeal, waffles, cheesy ham & eggs, biscuits & sausage gravy, toast, muffins, & rolls. Also, excellent coffee. All of the staff we met, from the desk clerks, the breakfast staff, and cleaning people were cheerful and friendly. They also have an excessive room & outdoor pool, which we did not use.I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great place to stay for a very reasonable price.

This motel was spacious & clean, the people that worked there from front desk to breakfast help were very nice. There is a Chili's restaurant next door so it's convenient for meals - also get a 10% discount. Would stay there again.

We stayed here one night on our way home from New Orleans, heading north to New England. We wanted to visit the space center first so figured this was a convenient place to stay.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Not a lot of people there in late December.

We were given a room in the extension building, which means you need to walk outside (in the cold winter) to get to it, however, it gave you 'inside' doors. I think the main building has all outside doors.

Towels and cleanliness were typical for this level hotel. Not paying a lot so don't expect 5 star service. The comp breakfast was the usual Hampton Inn, more than enough choices for the three of us.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We didn't need anything special/extra so didn't have much dealings with the staff so can't say much beyond the initial check in.

Room Tip: 'Inside' rooms require you to go to different, somewhat attached, building. Other rooms looked to be all outside-type rooms

The sheets were so hard and were washed off site in a chemical that made them feel like cardboard. I'm not a sensitive person, but the towels left white lint all over my family after our showers. The staff is great but PLEASE wash the new bedding when it arrives at the hotel to soften it up and remove any lint!! I won't stay at Clarion anymore as the staff said that is the policy chain wide. The bedding and towels are sanitized at the factory.?.? We got an hour off sleep on the cardboard sheets.

I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. We have just recently purchased all new linens for our rooms and wash them here on site after each use. According to the manufacturer, the linens were triple washed before we put them out. We do want to reassure you that they have all been washed on site.

We sincerely apologize for any sensitivity to the new linen.
