We live in western Iowa. Over Christmas weekend, we had plans to spend time with family in western Mississippi and had purchased plane tickets to Jackson, MS. Circumstances prevented us to visit family, but we still had the tickets to use. So, we decided to make the best of it and look for "someplace" to go over the Christmas weekend. My goodness, what a gem we found when we located Magnolia Springs Bed and Breakfast. All of the reviews were very positive and they were able to take guests over Christmas. So, we booked 3 evenings. The accommodations were wonderful and the food fabulous. David and Eric are incredible hosts and take a lot of pride in their lovely house. The original woodwork is amazing - from floor to ceiling. The Christmas decorations - especially the Christmas tree in the living room - was beautiful! It's unfortunate we don't live closer. However, we would not hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay. The weather could have been better...but the entire country was having issues. Oak Street has beautiful trees that overhang the road like a canopy - it must be absolutely beautiful in the spring and summer months! Even though we had to leave at 4:00 AM to drive to Jackson, MS to catch our flight, David made sure we had breakfast to take with us and prepared some fresh fruit, muffins, breakfast...We live in western Iowa.
