Was a yearly friends trip to Goa..We generally stay around the Calangute - Baga area and wanted to try some place close to Anjuna this time. Scouted a bit on the net and found this place. We went purely by the reviews, most of which were favourable.
A small place with about 9 -10 rooms just off the Anjuna main road. I'd rather list out the pros and cons here than write a long review :
> Location - Close to the have to go places in Anjuna (German Bakery, Curlies, the beach etc. and Vagator (Mango Tree for sure..!!!). (still have to use a vehicle though..nothing in the walking range)
> Cost - Very reasonable (Obviously with the no. of cons that are gonna follow this list)
> Personnel - Very cordial owners and staff
> Wifi - Free wifi. Not much of a plus in my view but there are people who specifically look for that.
> Bikes on hire - They do have some bikes on hire. A better option than a car to navigate the ultra narrow roads that lead to the most desired venues.
> Garden - Rooms build around a garden. Nice to sit out during the day but the place gets infested with mosquitoes after sunset.
> Quiet surroundings - hotels on the main road can be a pain in Goa with people going back after the late night parties but this place is quiet.
> Rooms : Very small rooms. Gets cramped with two people. Baths not very convincing too
> Room Service - Doesn't exist. Couldn't even get a coffee in the morning and eating joints are a 10-15 min walk.
> Room amenities - No tv and fridge in the rooms. Atleast a fridge in Goa is a must (for beers..what else..!!!). Rooms do have an AC. Carry your own towels and toiletries.
> Housekeeping - It's a term forgotten here. Rooms weren't cleaned for the 3 days that we were there.
It's surely not a place that's a complete "No-No". If the main priorities are budget and location then yes it's a place that fits.
