I had a pleasant stay in Knocknock home last Saturday. The new location of this place is very strategic. By the back door, you just need 5 minutes walk to Jonker Walk and by the front door, 5 minutes walk to Pak Putra, mamak with the best tandoori and Naan. Hastle free looking for parking as you can park your car in the home itself.

The interior of the home is unique and truly one of its kind. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and spacious. You'll feel like home staying here.

Most importantly the owner of Knocknock home, Augustine AKA Gus, is very friendly and knowledgeable of eateries in Melaka. He is different from many guesthouse owner as he welcomes you with open arms and is willingly to take you to many interesting eateries and places in Melaka.

Would highly recommend to everyone to stay in Knocknock Home for those who are new to Melaka or in seek of good hospitality.

Thank you Gus for providing a pleasant and splendid stay in your Home

Knock Knock Home is conveniently located near to Jonker Walk & other places of interest in Melaka.

My family (3 couples + 1 toddler) enjoyed a comfortable stay at Knock Knock Home in mid January.

Even though we arrived earlier than check-in & Gus' family were still helping out with cleaning up the place after the previous guests, Gus made us feel very welcome & helped to bring our bags to the rooms.

Gus stays on the ground floor of this terrace house & the guests on the 2nd level with 3 separate bed rooms that were spacious, clean & comfortable. One bedroom has an attached toilet & the other 2 shares a common bathroom.

We definitely enjoyed our stay & really appreciated Gus telling us some of the local places to go & even brought us around on Sunday morning.

Knocknock is a modern home with lots of personality. It was well designed, spacious, and is located centrally. Gus is warm and hospitable. He was friendly and kind, offering to show me where the sights and eats are. I highly recommend it!

My wife and I made a short trip here to celebrate her birthday and our anniversary, and had mentioned it to Gus, the owner. When we arrived, he was waiting at Tiny Knocknock with a bunch of lilies for my wife! (Lilies are symbolic in Chinese culture for long-lasting togetherness and unity). We were very touched by the beautiful gift and the trouble he went through to get that particular flower. This is just one of the many ways he will go the extra mile to make sure you have a good stay.

We stayed at tiny Knocknock and Gus closed his small antique shop downstairs for the 2 nights we were there and we had the whole place to ourselves! Very clean and tastefully decorated in the retro style, there are 2 air con units to ensure that the place (ground and first floors and the loft) are cool during the day. The stairs from the ground to the first floor are pretty steep, but railings have been installed on both sides which help. We enjoyed the homey hall on the first floor which was perfect for chilling during the night or the hottest parts of the day. Toilet on the ground floor was clean and there were towels and even handmade soap there for our use. Beautiful old shophouse in a charming lane.

Walking distance from all the usual attractions, which Gus obligingly gave us a tour of on our first day there, showing us all the places in the small lanes and back alleys where the good food was, and which places to see. History buffs like my wife and I will appreciate his recommendations on which museums are worth visiting and his knowledge of old Malacca town. We had very good food, some of which were the duck noodles and the 'melt in your mouth' fishballs, and delicious mee suah with oysters in the pork soup, and not to forget the rice wine mee hoon and stewed pork rice! Gus also brought us to the best and most beautifully decorated cafes, like Locahouz and Baboon House (try the pork/lamb burgers!). On our last day there, Gus went out of his way to bring us for authentic baba nyonya Mee siam and laksa. He even made sure we had parking tickets so that we could park near the house to load up all our numerous baggage and purchases!

A most enjoyable and memorable trip to Malacca for us, and a big part of the reason being Gus! We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have the real local experience of Malacca!

Had the pleasure of spending a wonderful weekend in Melaka with our host Augustine Lye at his new place. As usual, Augustine has been a wonderful host taking us to interesting places hidden behind the nook and cranies of Melaka. Love the Baboon house cafe's relaxed atmosphere and the constance exhibition by various artists local and abroad. It 's run by the shy but sincere Mr. Roger and his group of friendly hosts. In the evening, we will take a short walk to the Jonkers walk night market which is only 50 meters away from the guest house. Ensure to check out the open air karaoke in the center of the night market. You will find it very interesting....If not, there is always the fantastic hawkers food around. Our favourite dishes is the stir fried chili clams...which we ordered takeout and enjoy it in the cozy backyard of Augustin's guest house with some wine. All in, Its a relax and wonderful short weekend. Thank you Augustine!!
