This church is old but it bears all the symbols of tradition and retains its old world charm. The church has been around since the 1800's and so you can expect that it shows its age but a church is more than a building and so the faithful who worship there add to the spirituality of the place. Do come and visit and pray.

St. Francis Xavier Church was established in 1845 during the British era. The Gothic architecture is quite attractive and it appears to be well maintained.

This church was built in 1849, on the site of the Dominican Churches Convent of Our Lady of the Rosary in 1553. The present Neo Gothic church was designed by Father Peter Favre in 1849.

It is aesthetically pleasing and has some small but impressive stained glass windows. The ceiling is particularly impressive in while with blue trim. Nice altar. Organ on the back wall - above your head as you enter. Full list of clergy that have served this church commemorated on the back wall adjacent to the entrance. I very much enjoyed my visit here which is within walking distance of the main square - maybe 600 meters? Allow at least 30 minutes to see the church. Certainly worth a visit. Best photographed from across the road.

It's a nice small church near Little India in Melaka. But I think it's quite common here in Philippines. .

This is a very simple church with colourful stained glasses and statues of Mary and St Francis outside the church.

It is still used till now and there was an wedding ceremony on the day we visited.
