Wow, where do we even start ? We are on our way home to Australia and our hearts are full. The hotel was beautiful, perfect escape we needed. Their hospitality, I think we should all learn from them. Every person working there was kind, happy and professional. No one made you feel like they were doing you a favour, they made us feel like part of family. Food was fantastic too with good selection daily. Very fresh and tasty. We got upgraded to a plunge pool villa, as we addressed there was an issue with the common pool not being open ( after the rains they were trying to get the chlorine levels back to okay) and we are more pool people than sea. They set up birthday breakfast with sparkling wine in front of our room overlooking the ocean for my partner, they even baked him a cake.. and sang beautifully for us at dinner. We felt so special, it was very sad to leave. We were very stressed with our busy lives back in Australia and needed a relaxing holiday and it was exactly that.. I am a picky traveller, working as a travel agent so have been spoilt with hotels/trips throughout the years … but hands down - Matamanoa topped it all up. The band playing daily was also incredible, dear lord they can really sing!!

One night, we had a bit of a headache from the sun and air conditioning combo and we ran out of Panadol, when asked at reception and there wasn’t any to purchase the manager and every single staff member went onto looking through their personal bags to find us a Panadol… do I have to say more? It’s like a family.

We are so grateful.

We want to say big thank you to everyone and I will be sending all clients to that island for amazing experience.. Fiji needs our support and for us to travel again.

Choose Matamanoa Island for honeymoon, anniversary or any special occasion. And definitely get the bure with plunge pool, makes a huge difference!
