My group of friends and I stayed at Vomo for a week in February this year. It was perfect for us as we were looking for somewhere fairly close to home as we did not want to lose too much time travelling, yet also wanted a tropical island.

The resort was about to soft close to allow for some renovation work to occur so on our last night we were the only guests in the hotel.

The rooms have recently been renovated and well equiped with everything you need, including unlimited Fiji water. The room rate includes washing and folding of laundry daily, something you don't find very often in hotels. We had a beach front villa and our friends had the adjoining villa, which meant we were able to spend time together on the verandah looking out to sea. This room type is in blocks of two so if you are travelling with children you could book both and use the interconnecting door.

Our room rate included all meals (three courses for each meal) so we were never hungry - quite the opposite. The quality of the food was outstanding even though the resort was shutting down.

The snorkelling here is amazing and can be done even from the beachfront of the resort.

There is an amazing bar facing the sunset where we had cocktails each night which also made our stay rather special.

There is nothing else nearby so all meals, drinks and activities are limited to the resort but we were happy with this.

To make the stay a little more special we took a helicopter to and from the resort, a trip of around fifteen minutes (much quicker than boat). This also maximised our time at the resort. On the day we left we were having lunch on the beach at the resort and dinner in Sydney!

Room Tip: The beach front rooms are best.

Bula Amanda,
It's nearly a year since you were with us! How time flies. We are about to have another mini closure for a couple of weeks in February 2018, to ensure Vomo is kept to her best.
We are so pleased to read your review - vinaka. It's funny how everyone just loves our wash and fold daily laundry service. The little extra things are often the ones that stand out the most.

You'll be pleased to know we are now serving dinner at least twice a week at The Rocks, so after your stunning sunset and cocktail hour, you can stay there for (adults only) dinner and enjoy some amazing exotic Mediterranean, Indian and Pacific Rim cuisine.

The helicopter services between Nadi airport and Vomo are truly the most fantastic way to travel. We are so pleased you maximised your time at found it to be an enjoyable experience. It's possibly one of the most beautiful scenic rides you'd ever do, so doubles as a tour as well!

Hoping you will come back and visit the Vomo family again. After all, you could be here by lunch time!

How fortunate you were to experience the stunning Palms residence with your friends. Nicky is certainly one of our most adored Butlers and he does a fantastic job of ensuring our guests are well looked after. Vinaka to you for choosing Vomo for your Fiji experience and we really hope we can welcome you back again sometime. The Vomo family would love that. Sote Tale (until next time) from us all.

As a family we travel the world to find winter sun. This year as we were travelling to Australia for Christmas and New Year we decided to hit the beach in Fiji and chose Vomo. We made an excellent decision. Fiji and especially Vomo are now both definitely the best beach experience we’ve had.

The hotel is beautiful with landscaped gardens, golden beaches and even a golf course. The Fijians must be the most naturally friendly people we’ve come across, taking time to know our names and even our preferences for food and drink. This also goes for the Management Team who are wonderful.

Our son celebrated his 12th birthday whilst on Vomo. They decorated his bedroom, reserved a table in the restaurant and decorated it with balloons and then the Fijian band sang ‘Happy Birthday’ when bringing out a beautiful chocolate birthday cake. They made him feel very special.

The food is wonderful with a mix of nationalities on offer and the menu is very child friendly (which goes for the hotel in general).

A special mention must be made for Ocean Play (or the surf shack as we named it). Complimentary snorkelling everyday - which we enjoyed immensely. Not only do you get taken out to the reefs on a speed boat but one of the Dive Masters accompanies you to help you explore the underwater world - clown fish, angel fish and the odd meter long shark are all common. We also hired a crew to go fishing (both line and trawler). They made it fun and also ensured we went home with our supper, which the restaurant cooked to perfection.

If you’re lucky enough to be able to visit Fiji you cannot go wrong with visiting Vomo. All we can say is “BULA, Vomo”.

The whole family agreed this was one of the best destinations we have enjoyed.

The food is excellent, superb. Kids really enjoyed the daily snorkelling trips (free) and we also had a great fishing trip and caught our supper.

All the team are very & genuinely friendly towards their guests. We had interconnecting villas (3&4) which worked well for us as a family. The villas were clean and well appointed.

Laundry service was really useful to us.

Just loved it and highly recommend this destination.

Extraordinary. Been to a lot of places all over the world and this place was close to the best. Food as good as a high end Sydney restaurant, our beach side villa was beautifully designed and appointed, the activities are all free and great fun and the staff were wonderful. Snorkelling was amazing and close to the best in Fiji. There are daily boat trips but you don't even need them as 50m of the beach, the reef drops off and the magic is all there! You just swim out whenever you want. This is high end resort accommodation as good as it gets. Memorable place and for sure will be back.

Room Tip: choose a stand alone beachside villa
