So was here a couple of years ago and was disappointed to read that some indicated it was closed. In fact it is still open and busy, with seemingly miles and miles of shopping maze. Items range from clothes (scarfs, shirts, blouses, tee shirts, shoes, underwear) to electronics (phone related, wireless speakers, etc) to toys and watches and sunglasses.

Plan to spend a couple of hours to just drift through. Most are not overly pushy, and it can be fun to bargain with them. I have yet to have not sell me something below their cost 😉

I didn't want to go here but a friend did so we went. It's a chaotic, crowded market with small stalls most selling cheap imitation goods or clothes etc.
I looked around but found nothing wort buying.

I can just confirm most of what was said here.

During the process of "negotiating the price" first you will (pretend to) be shocked with their quote. Then you will give yours and that is the time when they will (pretend to) be shocked (they will usually ask you did you mean dollars or yuan :-) ). and the process will continue. You should increase your offer in small steps, while they will decrease in bigger steps. This means that you are in a good track.

The other tactic that worked for me (at a later stage when I was tired of negotiating) that I immediately say my final price and stick to it. They will alone then do the rest (decreasing their offer) while you will just stay there.

And, it turned out that haggling is fairly easy (although slow) and that you basically cannot go wrong. If your final price is too low for them, they will simply not sell. If that repeats in several stores, it means that you should increase your final price (or not buy at all).

P.S. All the things that I bought were in excellent condition and they are (apparently) of a very good quality.

As most the items are available, shopping abroad has become more of a curiosity visit or for bargain hunting.Few of the adventures friends hunted cheap mobile phones (last I checked working good) and some of us bought luggage bags.
Good value for money and real fun to bargain.
Trick to bargain is ,first half just keep browsing through shops and note prices ,strictly no buy then in second half time, bargain hard as you know the lowest quote.keep note of shop no.
