This hotel is so beautiful and the service was on point. I got a message as well and she was super strong! This was the first time I felt a massage pressure was too much. My only wish was that I could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back!

The rooms were colorful, the spa was an amazing surprise! & the dinners from Chef Kenneth were delicious! Staff Lucy, Alex, Oscar & Ericka went above & beyond to serve. Highly recommend this place! The peacefulness here is a welcome feature.

Room tip: 33 of us traveled & each had a unique room & all had a gorgeous view! The higher # rooms are bigger & behind the sunset pool.

Our time at Xandari was absolutely wonderful. It is a relaxing colorful resort in the middle of the rainforest but only 20 minutes from the airport. The 4 km of walking trails are we maintained and give you a chance to see five waterfalls. Highly recommended.

Room tip: If you come June-October plan your activities in the sunny mornings and then relaxing inside with a book or get a massage when it rains.

My best friend and I wanted to get away for a few days, and during our research we found Xandari Resort & Spa. The hotel is conveniently located 20 minutes away from SJO and 25 minutes away from Poasito (near Volcan Poas, Alcacia Farms, etc). From the moment we arrived, we were blown away. We were greeted by Lucy, whom we immediately fell in love with, and she welcomed us with the most delicious fresh fruit “Welcome Drink.” Lucy, Luis, Nancy, and the entire staff took such good care of us during our stay and truly made us feel like were part of their family.

We stayed in an Ultra Plus Villa which was huge, comfortable and super clean. Our balcony overlooking the Central Valley was a picturesque spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The grounds of the resort are gorgeous, which is undeniably credited to the hard-working grounds crew. Besides the 3 lovely pools, herb gardens, Farm to Table garden, and small farm, the property boasts some amazing hiking trails which lead you to 5 waterfalls! We found the hike to be fun, challenging and absolutely beautiful. The farm is small, but include chickens, ducks, turkeys and two goats. Mr. Maximo, the keeper, even let us feed the goats and help with the chickens one morning!

The Xandari Spa was divine; we enjoyed a half-day experience with jacuzzi time (those views!), a deep tissue massage and a facial. Our masseuses, Irene and Deymi, were wonderful and left us feeling rejuvenated! The Resort also offers Yoga classes which we enjoyed at their lovely Yoga Studio with the instructor, Tamara.

Finally, the restaurant. I’ve visited many restaurants around Costa Rica, and the best gallo pinto I’ve eaten is here. The rest of the menu is so fresh and Leo, the chef, does a fantastic job keeping it delicious and interesting. Oscar and Alex will make sure you’re well taken care of, and Alex will fix you an amazing strawberry margarita, just ask him.

Needless to say, we are already planning our next visit. Although Xandari Resort & Spa is the perfect place to start or finish your Costa Rica adventure, it’s also the most amazing location for a long romantic weekend getaway or a “girls weekend.” We CANNOT wait to return!

This was our last stop on our 10 day trip in Costa Rica, what a nice surprise! From the moment we walked in, we felt a part of the Xandari Family. Alex made our trip fantastic! He was so accommodating & felt as if we were life long friends. We stayed at multiple 5 star resorts & even ate local in La Fortuna & the food here surpassed all places. Leonardo, the chef, knows what he’s doing! You will not be disappointed by this resorts amazing staff! Also, the property is gorgeous! Super artsy& bright colors. A great last night before flying out of SJO.
