We were brought to The Plaza Real shopping center (where Cosi is located) by the Hampton Inn dinner shuttle. We chose to eat at this restaurant because it was an economic option, and we were craving a fresh salad. Cosi's menu features salads, soups, flatbread sandwiches and flatbread pizzas. The flatbread appears to be their signature item, and we were offered a generous slab with the Caesar salad we ordered as well as with the tomato soup. The Caesar salad was serviceable in that it contained fresh, crispy romaine lettuce, but the dressing was a bit bland. The tomato soup, however, was fantastic! It seemed to contain a touch of cream and was smooth except for a few chunks of tomato. It was very nicely flavored and tasted handmade (as opposed to something out of a Campbell's soup can). The Caesar salad was $4700 colones while the regular-sized portion of the soup was $2700 colones. We found the prices to be more reasonable than the $9000+ colones entrees the other restaurants in the Plaza offered.
