Top marks and hats off once again to everyone at the Margaritaville Hotel on Flamingo Beqch for yet another wonderful stay and our family of three sublime holiday which we have sadly just completed. We had another fantastic time and our sincere gratitude to all of you. We have been happy guests of yours, pre, during and hopefully soon to be in a better post covid era when we plan to return again next year. We are almost part of the furniture by now! The staff are ALL fantastic at this hotel. There are too many kind and friendly people to mention, but special homage to Jamie (Capricios Restaurant) Elias, Manuel, Janneth, Edouardo, Erik, Diana, Yermandy, Michael, Eliot, Daniel, the room cleaning lady and EVERYONE who with absolutely no exceptions work so hard to make the enjoyment of others a real priority. It shows, they all succeed and our the best of best people. Our room 2321 was spacious and perfect for our family of two adults and one smiling 12 year girl. Our room was immaculately cleaned every day. The food at the hotel was delicious - breakfast, lunch and dinners were always to our liking. Jamie at Capricios was always so gracious and welcoming - you will be hard pushed to find a more personable patron than Jamie. He is a class act for sure. We booked taxis with Manrique Rizo who has a taxi office shingle at the hotel - Manrique is another great guy and I highly recommend Manrique’s safe and reliable transportation services. We booked catamaran trips through Suzy at Swiss Tours in the hotel lobby - excellent choice of the sunset boat trip where Jessica and Danny spoiled our trio and two other nice couples on a peaceful and fun boat outing with amazing sunset photo opportunities to round off the nautical afternoon. We also did a morning catamaran tour with Panache and that was great also. We enjoyed a day long trip to Sensorio where our host and proud encyclopedia of local and National information Rodrigo walked us through the amazing jungle like setting of Sensorio with late afternoon swims, a delicious lunch and a delightful morning pit stop at a local family run cafe which we loved. A better cup of joe than any Starbucks I have had of recent! Raul our driver was better than any NASCAR or F1 Grabs Prix equivalent, often having to juggle tricky terrain and he even managed to stop to show us a sloth positioned high up in a tree. My wife had always wanted to see one in its natural habitat and thanks to Rodrigo and Raul, she can successfully now tick that goal of her bucket list. Thank you so much Rodrigo and Raul at Swiss Tours. I did two tank dives with Rocket Frog divers. Hannah picked me up at the hotel and drove me the short distance to the other side of the marina where I dove with Tommy and Kyle. Michael the owner of Rocket Frog Divers was great to deal with. White tip reef sharks and starfish were great to witness 85 feet down out there on the horizon around the Catalina Islands. Thank you guys. Kevin and Carlos offer a great photo service at the Ohana photography shop located in the hotel lobby. Both Kevin and Carlos are super friendly and Kevin took more superb photos of myself, my wife and our daughter frolicking on the sands of Flamingo Beach - splashing, jumping, you name it, Kevin can deliver expert photos. He could even make me look half way decent and that is no small task I can assure you. Thank you Kevin and Carlos. We have more precious memories to hold onto or as I like to say that “memories are the pre eminent anchor of the heart” and so we are very fortunate to have many more good ones after yet another wonderful sojourn at the Margaritaville Hotel and that is in so many ways part and parcel due to the hospitable people of Costa Rica, many of whom fortunately are associated with this hotel.
