We were a family of four with teen boys from USA and we were looking forward to Italian food. We were very pleasantly surprised. We had fried calamari to start that was a light battered, crunchy and with a nice sweet sauce and marinara on the side.
Then one had mushroom risotto, one had a calzone, one had spaghetti carbonara and another had fettuccine Alfredo. All dishes were clearly made from scratch and excellent.
You should note that the menu is in Spanish only, although we were able to figure out the dishes. They had this excellent watermelon juice that was unique and great. Pineapple juice was good too.

Went there before leaving CR and were dissapointed by the service compared to what we experienced on our stay.
We got little attention or care from the staff and when we did, everyone was very terse.
Ordered several meals, two were fine, one was very bad.
Also, the place isn't too cozy as you keep hearing and seeing the cars passing by. Wouldn't recommend it.

Three colleagues and myself (all working in the Food & Beverage Industry) had dinner at Solano's and we were pleasantly surprised. As a starter, we shared garlic bread and fried calamari. The fried calamari was simply AMAZING. We really did not expect it! DO not miss out and order this dish. I know it sounds strange but really it it not like in other places...
I continued with the Pollo Parmesano which was delicious, the chicken as well as the tagliatelle that came with. The Pomodoro sauce was fantastic. Two of my colleagues shared a 8 slice pizza and the third had the classic lasagna. They were not as impressed as I was with my dish but in any case the general comment was: we would come back for the fried calamari...really it was a big WIN.
The ambiance is really nice. There has been an effort to decorate in an Italian touch and it worked well (I lived in Milan and in my opinion though it was tastefully done).

Congrats to the chef!

Our neighborhood Italian place with the best pizzas, calamari and fresh pastas.
The best in San Antonio de Belen for lunch, dinner, couples and families.

Very welcoming staff who joked around this us despite a bit of a language barrier. Great food, peaceful in the backroom, comfortable, and good wine list. We recommended this to those looking for a solid dinner.
