Lovely staff, very helpful, but no sense of a management hands on presence. Beautiful well maintained gardens but property needs some vitality and upgrades for the price it charges.
Mattresses and lounge cushions very thin, uncomfortable; actually could feel the coil of a spring in bed.
No music, no food or drink service during the day; evening restaurant very expensive.
Breakfast never changed; same fruit, same eggs, same dry toast.

Beautiful quiet hotel in wonderful grounds 200 m by private track to the beach.
Lovely bungalow rooms.
Breakfast excellent .
Dinner superb. Excellent chef. Food is French style with Carribean flavours.
Wonderful ambience
Plenty of wildlife in the grounds. Bowler monkeys will wake you up at dawn.
Saw an agouti or two, poison dart frogs, and was amazed at the 60 metre high Ceiba in the gardens.
Pleasant secluded swimming pool to cool off in.

Room Tip: All lovely bungalows in the grounds

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel . It is well situated a little bit outside town. The staff is very nice and the breakfast is very good. You get a nice platter with fresh fruit that is really delicious! The downside of the hotel is that it is not breathing the Costa Rica atmosphere that we experienced every where else. There is no bar during the day so no drinks..there is no music ( it shouldn't be all the time just to bring some 'ambiance'..). Everything looks a little bit dead and can be easily improved. For the rest everything is ok.

Very nice resort. Rooms are big and hidden in the forest.

Access to the beach is easy and the beach itself is one of the most beautiful ones of Puerto Viejo.

Breakfast is rich and well served (no buffet).

Hotel located outside of Puerto Vierjo in a jungle like garden.

The staff and the owner are very welcoming and will help you make the most of your stay.

The rooms are located in individual bungalow in a woody-balinese like style. The common area are very nice to enjoy breakfast or a drink.

In my opinion, this place - especially the room and bathroom - would benefit from some renovation works. The beds were worned out.

Large swimming pool and in house restaurant.
