After we had an issue with one of our bags after flying to Golfito I decided my son and I would stay the night here. The staff were so helpful and friendly and even sorted out the problem, I couldnt be more grateful! The rooms were nice, basic but with everything you need. The pool area was really lovely. We ate in the hotel restaurant, this time of year it was very quiet, the food was great and we really enjoyed our short visit. Would highly recommend, especially if flying in using natureair as airport is round the corner.

I was derailed in my adventure and had to spend a night in Golfito. The second I got to the Hotel Sierra everyone was so helpful and friendly. The room they put me in was clean and lovely. The free breakfast in the morning was amazing. What I saw of the grounds was beautiful. The gentleman at the front desk helped me get a taxi driver in the morning to get to my destination. If I spend time in Golfito again I will definitely go back there!

Hotel Sierra is a big and clean hotel, but with lots of opportunities to improve.

The pros:
-If your going for shopping, this is the best hotel near the "deposito libre".
-It is a huge hotel, you will always find available rooms. Also it has a big parking lot.
-Very clean in general.
-Nice swimming pool.
-Nice staff, the ladies in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful.
-Wi-fi

The cons:
-Rooms are a little bit outdated, with some details they may seem more modern.
-Quality of the food was not proportional to the price, which was very high.
-There are some nice but unused areas, basically there is no service in the swimming pool (although there is a wet bar), also there is a big bbq area near to the pool which is closed.
-If you're planning to save some money shopping, there are cheaper hotels around the area.

In general, I would recommend this hotel if you're going for shopping in the "deposito libre", looking for a clean, comfortable place and don't mind paying a little bit more than other small hotels in the area. On the other hand, if you're going to visit the area, I think there are better options located in a more natural/interesting areas.
