Absolutely above and beyond in all aspects- friendly, free access to bicycles and kayaks, affordable, central. If you’re looking to explore wildlife, the local town or spend time on the beach this place is absolutely perfect. Staff were kind enough to even offer us a complimentary room upgrade.
Had a fantastic stay for one night at Cabinas Jimenez! Close to the airport (walk to and from felt totally safe during the day) and right on the water. John and Anne were wonderful hosts and had great recommendations for local restaurants. My room was comfortable, clean, and air conditioned... and very affordable!
A perfection location for accessing trips to Corcovado National Park. The two rooms we had (the nights before and after our trip to Sirena Ranger Station) were excellent. Them storing luggage and the plentiful parking all add to being able to relax and enjoy the adventure. The welcomes by those on the reception was excellent. The first night we arrived the reception had closed but we had a map - easily found - on the reception desk to get to our room. The rooms were spotlessly clean and so well equipped if you wanted to bring food in to eat.
The rooms overlooking the sea are fabulous and sitting having our breakfast on the terrace is one of our holiday highlights!
My wife & I stayed here for 8 days. We’ve been to Costa Rica many times & my wife lived in Costa Rica for a months during college. We were back in Costa Rica to look at Condos to purchase this was the main purpose of our trip. Our brother in law & his family were staying down the street at the Hilton Resort. My wife & I always like to stay at local places for the culture. We really enjoyed our stay Gabby was excellent along with the rest of the staff. We ventured over to the Hilton twice but the vibe wasn’t there. We felt more relaxed and comfortable at your place:). The room was nice & we had a private gate entrance with a lock for the gate, outdoor kitchen & beautiful balcony overlooking the beach. We would definitely stay here again if back in the area:).
Cute and characterful little beach side hotel. We stayed here either side of our Corcovado tour with our excess baggage safely stored for free while we were in the rainforest.
Annie looked after us and the rest of the team were really friendly. The views from our room/s were wonderful. Coffee machine and a fridge of your own is super useful and there is a great bakery just round the corner to pick up breakfast and treats. We used the free bikes to visit other local beaches and pop across town to the laundry and supermarket. Decor in the rooms is eclectic and I loved that. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a more authentic Costa Rica stay.
