The setting was on the shores of Golfo Dulce with an amazing amount of nature right outside the door. The staff was not only friendly, knowledgeable and helpful but they were also genuine. My wife and I really felt like they enjoyed having us there. We took a couple of boat tours, couple of fishing trips, couple of bird watching trips, rented a car for a day, lots of bike rides, kayaking, paddleboarding, and trips into town. It is a very easy walk to town with plenty of restaurants, stores, grocery markets, and souvenir shops. There is an easy walk to the town dock and the beach as well. We went out to eat for dinner some evenings and felt very comfortable walking back in the dark. Safety was not a concern. The room was wonderful with lots of wood and tile along with Costa Rican inspired decor. It was very quiet at night other than when the rain came down on the roof. The worst part of our stay at Cabinas Jimenez was getting in the shuttle to leave to go home. It was easily the most relaxing natured inspired experience of our life! Can't wait to go back!
All of the attached photos are from the grounds of Cabinas Jimenez. The pics of the turtles and the flying parrots are actually from our room.
