My husband and I had a wonderful time at Iguana Lodge. We actually stayed an extra night, we didn't want to leave. We stayed in an air-conditioned club room over the restaurant. It was small, but very comfortable and nicely decorated. The restaurant is very good, and is a great place to relax in the afternoon with a cocktail looking at the ocean ( photo below). The wait staff are very nice, we really enjoyed speaking with Joseph. A beach dinner is offered on Tuesdays, it was fantastic, with a bonfire! In Costa Rica the sun rises at 6am and sets at 6 pm. Coffee is ready at the reception area at 5 am! Breakfasts are amazing, the chef is very talented. We saw toucans in the trees during breakfast one day. The pool and yoga area are beautiful. The owner is an artist, her work is on display around the property. Really neat. I really recommend taking a tour with Sidnar, the naturalist. He is amazing! We took a morning excursion and saw so much...just wonderful. Many guests fly in to the airfield in Puerto Jimenez and have the lodge pick them up. It is a 10 minute trip on a bumpy road. If driving in Costa Rica, I would recommend figuring out the insurance issue before arriving in Costa Rica. I would download WAZE on your phone for navigation ( you will need internet). Driving in San Jose is very difficult. Once you are out of the city, the roads are very good heading to Jaco and down to Puerto Jimenz in Osa. We really loved our stay at Iguana, and would love to go again. The Osa Penninsula is beautiful. More
