This hotel is quite beautiful with so many positives. It seems to have been built many years ago, but the condition is very good. The public areas are immaculate, and my room was clean and spacious. All the staff was wonderful! Usually I detail all points good and bad, but in this case it’s pretty much all good, so I’ll just mention the few issues I had. First, the bed is firm, which I have never encountered in a DoubleTree before. Hilton beds are almost always plush and comfortable. The pillows were amazing, but not the mattress. Second, the toilet was awful. Took 2-3 flushes if anything in the bowl. Could have been just my room, but not likely because of the toilet design. Lastly, and the most irritating, there is no fridge in the room. And I had a suite! Other than bargain motels, I feel every room should have a fridge, especially a Hilton property. So that was a HUGE negative! Otherwise a beautiful hotel with a wonderful breakfast also. I was only here one night before flying home, so the fridge issue wasn’t that bad. But I would never stay again for that reason alone. If a fridge is not important to you, then you will love it there!More
