It's quite hard to find hotels with absolute silence in the middle of the city.
Here, in the gardens, you can hear cars around, but not very disturbing- like for San Jose.
In our room not at all, except for the ambulance. The walls are really keeping noise away.
The staff is friendly, however, there are some things which they need to work on and here are suggestions:
The first night, we've called reception if it is possible to bring us cutlery to the room- they said yes but- no one came.
We called again after 20 min, still, no one came...
We had to go alone to the bar to get some, that's kind of disrespectful to ignore the request, or not being able to fulfill it without informing first.
The gardens are spectacular and trees are filled with wild birds, which literally cover the noise of the street.
The pool is always very cold and there is nothing that can be done about it, but the jacuzzi has a regulated temperature. However, it is abandoned by staff unless we specifically ask to adjust it.
We also called reception to do it before we use the jacuzzi, but no one seems to take care until we specifically "grab" the maintenance person around.
Then, from the very cold one, they put maximum temp and they leave it never checking on it again. If you want to go in the evening,...It's quite hard to find hotels with absolute silence in the middle of the city.

Then, from the very cold one, they put maximum temp and they leave it never checking on it again. If you want to go in the evening, it's boiling. Also, the level of chlorine is way too high.
There should be rounds to check the temp and keep it in the middle and a sheet in which you sign that it's checked and cleaned. Not only as a standard hygiene protocol but as a covid situation now, especially.
The waitress from breakfast is amazing and irreplaceable, she got off today and we could really see how she keeps it all in order. Always very kind, and caring.
The same breakfast Chef and thanks to them we really enjoy our mornings in there. In breakfast selection definitely are missing fresh vegetables, salads.
Any maintenance of the gardens shouldn't be happening while breakfast, rather after because of disturbing noise, although it happened just once while our stay.
Our room is very cosy, elegant and has all amenities we need. The bed is a bit firm, but king-sized, the bathroom has a bathtub, which is really relaxing in silent evenings. Our housekeeper always does a great job.
Reception is kind and informative, and security really stands like in the military, checking temperature. Parking is well protected by guards.
We happened to be ex-European management in 5* hotels, and on the cruise ships, so our eye is probably sharper than a regular guest, but we know how important is feedback. It always brings us closer to improvements, especially now in a low season it's a great time to see this.
If silence gonna keeps in place we gonna keep extending our stay, because overall it's worth it.
The hotel is big, very, very clean and really comfortable to stay in.
Common areas are filled with comfy chairs and tables, sofas. Everyone is always greeting you when they just see you, it's really kind and feels high standard.
It's worth booking it.More
