check in was easy. had asked for a room overlooking courtyard and pool but was given one overlooking the parking lot. Very nice Best Western , room was quiet and clean. I was exhausted so it was very nice to just walk to Dennys in the hotel to grab a bite. The breakfast was very good, once i found the correct room. Something for everyone. Free Parking which was nice and easy to get back on the highway. Would definitly stay again.

The hotel is fine, a typical Best Western. Which is to say that it is not a Marriott or Hilton, but comfortable enough. I rated the hotel based on what I felt most people would think. But this place is definitely not for me. Noise was the biggest issue. First, it is located near a very busy highway interchange. Highway noise in general is annoying, but the engine braking by trucks is really aggravating. Also I was put in possibly the worst room in the hotel. Room 202, which is right in front of the hotel entry area. And since this hotel is "Bus Central" I had to listen to buses coming and going up to 7 or 8 an hour at times! So many tours picking up here. Dozens of people gathered in the lobby much of the time. And lots of noisy kids running around in the halls, as it is very much a family hotel. Breakfast area was very nice, but selection was poor in my opinion. I cannot eat eggs, and so choices were scarce. Lots of fruit though! Rooms are supposed to have a fridge, but mine did not (like others have mentioned). They did bring one to me quickly, but it was disgusting, and I had to clean it out. The shower drain was clogged, but they did resolve that quickly also. The safe did not function well, had to try 2-3 times always to close it. TV has no English channels (normal here in Costa). Pillows were quite lumpy and bed too firm for my liking. And the sink faucet pressure was very low. Overall condition of the hotel is fine, but the service was the best aspect. Most will be happy here, but I prefer a more adult, peaceful, and refined experience. I'll chose differently in the future.

This hotel was perfect for our stay in San Jose. It is so pretty and well maintained, the staff is super nice and helpful and everything works perfectly. We're very happy with our choice and we will definitely be coming back :) We also loved the fact that the hotel has so many ammenities and spaces, such as a Denny's right inside the hotel! Super convenient :)

Honestly? It's a best western. There was construction and we were put in a room directly below the work being done.
BUT
We were pleasantly surprised by the service.
Great all around.
Especially because we were leaving before breakfast due to an early flight.
They did provide us with breakfast!

I'm writing this to express my heartfelt 'thanks' for my overnight stay there in early April. You see, I was assaulted and robbed the night before, and went to the airport in the morning to fly home and straighten out my accounts. Then, the DHL plane crashed and we were all sent to your hotel while they cleaned that up (fortunately and incredibly, nobody was hurt). Despite hundreds of tired people and families showing up at your door all of a sudden, your staff were very professional, helpful and efficient. When my turn came up, I had my card and meal tickets in under a minute, with smiling, courteous service. When I had trouble with the room lock, you sent a technician right away. Everything was clean and comfy. I think everyone felt the same sense of relief staying at your island of calm after an ordeal. The only glitch was trying to use the phone long distance but someone else helped with that situation. I hope your management appreciates what a fine group of people they have working for them. You're wonderful folk and I look forward to staying there again one day under different circumstances. Thank you again for a great night's rest.
